Kenneth Ingle II Obituary

Kenneth Phillip Ingle II, 55, of Ridgeway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him most. His battle with cancer was brief but marked by courage, grace, and an unwavering devotion to his family.
Born on September 21, 1970, in Brevard, North Carolina, Kenny grew up running the roads of Enka–Candler, a place that shaped his character, values, and lifelong connection to people. He lived with kindness, humility, and a rare ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Joyce Brown Ingle.
Kenny is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Julie Ingle, the love of his life and his greatest adventure partner. He leaves behind his cherished sons: Ryan Ingle (Brittany), Cory Thomas (Gracie), and Austin Ingle (Allison). He was the proud and adoring “Poppy” to his granddaughter, Jade Ingle, the apple of his eye.
He is also survived by his father, Kenneth Phillip Ingle I; his sisters Anita Gail Lynd (Adda), Theresa Strickland, Kathy Harley, Jamie Cloninger (Ernesto), and Kendall Hollifield (Rocky); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and uncles. He shared a special lifelong bond with his cousins Malcolm, James, and Lee, who were the closest thing he had to brothers.
Kenny treated everyone with respect and spoke kindly to all. Though strong in stature, he was gentle in spirit — a steady presence, a natural peacekeeper, and the person everyone called when things went wrong. His strength was quiet, his heart was soft, and his calm nature brought comfort wherever he went.
He loved spending time on the lake, fishing, riding motorcycles, and traveling in search of the next great adventure. He often said, “When you’re lying on your deathbed, you’re never going to regret going on that trip.” Kenny believed faith wasn’t about where you found God, but simply that you did — and he believed family was everything.
As a devoted father, he taught his boys to work hard, love harder, respect women, use their hands, be present, and live with integrity. His deep adoration for Julie was evident to all who knew him.
Kenny was a true jack of all trades — capable, hardworking, and gifted at fixing what was broken, both practically and personally. Most recently, he worked as a mechanical technician at MUSC Kershaw Medical Center, where he was well-liked and respected. He previously owned and operated Playworld, where his warmth made everyone feel at home, and later worked for Asheville Area Alternative, offering compassion and comfort to families during their hardest moments.
Armed with charm and a perfectly timed one-liner, Kenny’s wit and charisma were among his greatest gifts. He could make anyone laugh, put anyone at ease, and make everyone want to stay just a little longer and listen a little more.
Above all, Kenneth Phillip Ingle II will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, lived fully, and left this world better than he found it — our gentle giant, forever.
Well done, good and faithful servant.
