Kearney Reister Murphy

Kearney Reister Murphy, 57, of Charlotte, NC peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at her home. 

Kearney was born on September 13, 1967 in Lagrange, IL to Tom Lonergan and Katherine Reister. She was later employed as a dental hygienist and was affiliated with Elevation Church. 

Surviving Kearney is her husband, Joel Michael Murphy; stepson, Michael Murphy, of Niceville, Fl; stepdaughter, Amanda Murphy, of Gastonia, NC; sister, Torrey Clement; grandchildren, Hunter Murphy, Jackson Murphy, Sawyer Comire, and Maverick Comire. 

A service will be held at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville, NC on August 4, 2025. The service will be officiated by Shannon Eichorn of Elevation Church.
