Kathy Jane Wilde Fayssoux

Kathy Jane Wilde Fayssoux, 74, of Asheville passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville. She was born on December 3, 1947 to the late S.O. Wilde and Winifred Price Wilde. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Dr. Sim Wilde, Jr., her sister, Alice Sluder, and her son, Peter Fayssoux Jr. Kathy was a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School and attended UNC Asheville. She retired from Southern Bell (BellSouth) and most recently worked in medical records at Mission Hospital. Kathy was a kind, sweet, gentle spirit. She was a lover and nurturer. She had a great appreciation for all things beautiful. She was a true romantic and enjoyed poetry, literature, and music. She had a talent for making lifelong friendships and lasting connections throughout her life. Kathy will best be remembered for the unconditional love she had for her children and grandchildren, and for the complete and utter devotion she had for the love of her life, Peter. Married for 44 years, their bond was unbreakable. “Lovers do not finally meet somewhere. They are in each other all along.” – Rumi. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Tracy Bodoh (Greg) of Clemmons, NC; her son, Kent Ponder of Fairview, NC; her daughter, Kristin Sampson (Greg) of Canton, NC; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A joint memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Brenda Lewis officiating.
