Kathleen Tyler-Holstein

Mary Kathleen “Kathleen” Tyler-Holstein, 84 of Burnsville, NC passed away on May 15, 2024.

Kathleen was born in Pennsylvania to the late Marie Anthony Adelman and William Adelman. She was also preceded by her brothers, John Fonner and William Fonner, and sister, Barbara Whelan.

Kathleen graduated from college and became a wonderful mother to her family. She was active in the Football Club, Band Mothers and PTA. During this time, Kathleen was also a managing partner of a privately owned tax and accounting firm for 29 years. She completed her working career as an ICU secretary and hospital staffer at Hollywood Memorial Hospital. After retiring, her special traveling interests included river boat cruising in Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Robert Holstein; sons, William Tyler(Melody) of Burnsville, NC, and John Tyler(Greg) of South Hadley, MA; grandson, Nicholas Tyler of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Shayla Tyler(Rachel) of Coral Springs, FL; great grandson, Kai Harris of St. Augustine, FL; step-son, Ted Holstein(Kim) of Florence, MT; step-daughter, Jackie Williamson of Little Lake Santa Fe, FL; niece, Ann Marie Worman of Charlotte, NC, who was like a daughter to Kathleen; and special friend, William “Chief” Tiger of Fort Lauderdale, FL, who was also like a son to her.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, at 12:00PM at the Sacred Heart Church in Burnsville, NC with a reception to follow.
