Katherine Ann (Ballard) Wilson

            Katherine Ann Ballard Wilson, lifelong resident of Weaverville, North Carolina, died June 30, 2025. Born August 15, 1938, to the late Ernest Glenn and Nettie Mabel Buckner Ballard, she was eighty-six.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wilson, and two sisters, Vivian Chambers and Sylvia Wilson.

            She is survived by her children, Charles Wilson of Mars Hill, North Carolina, Mike Wilson of Alexander, North Carolina, and Lisa Pagel (Keith Pagel) of Weaverville; siblings, Carolyn Wilson of Weaverville, and Bruce Ballard of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Daniel Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia, Brian Wilson of Fairview, North Carolina, Kyler Wilson of Candler, North Carolina, Ashley Bishop of Weaverville, Payton Smith of Clyde, North Carolina, and Justin Bishop of Weaverville; and by ten great-grandchildren.

            A service will be held at two o’clock the afternoon of Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Weaverville First Baptist Church, where Katherine was a member. Reverend Dr. Stuart Lamkin will officiate.
