Josiah Christian Evan (Bubsy) Ligiecki, 36, of Asheville, NC, passed away unexpectedly July 25, 2025 at his home.
Josiah was preceded in death, last year, by his older brother, Joshua Ryan Ligiecki, his uncles Tom Ligiecki and Stephen Wright, his paternal grandparents, Theodore and Norma Ligiecki, his maternal grandfathers Richard Meuse, and Harland Robinson.
Josiah was born at home, on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1988 in Porter Corners, NY.
His name means “Joyous Christmas Eve “ which he loved
Josiah was a glassblower and potter. He was the artist and owner of Bubsy Glass.
Josiah loved skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, hiking, camping, cooking, gardening, music, playing guitar and drums, kayaking, white water rafting, traveling and creating unique art
Surviving Josiah is his future wife, Olivia Davis, who said “Josiah thought of himself as an underdog. In my eyes he was an inspiration. He was true to his word and true to his heart. He would give anything to anyone he knew and loved and his heart had so much to give”. Josiah is also survived by his mother, Gina Ryan Prince (Michael) of Port Charlotte, Florida, his brothers, Aaron Prince (Angela) of New Castle, ME, Noah Prince (Jessica) of Los Angeles, CA, his sisters, Jennessa Frost(Douglas) of Lake George, NY, Toviah Prince, of Asheville, NC, his maternal grandmother, Mary Meuse Robinson of Port Charlotte, FL, his father Theodore Ligiecki jr (Julie) of upstate NY, his aunt Laura Wright of Virginia Beach, VA, cousins, Jason and Justin Wright of Virginia Beach, VA, his niece Jordan Prince and his nephew Deacon Frost , both from upstate NY, dear family and friends, Michael Hoffman, of Siesta Key, FL, Nicole Ebinger of Brainerd, MN, Barbara Anne of Asheville, NC; along with so many others, who love Josiah like a brother and also, his beloved dog Tela
