Joseph Solomon “Daniel Boone” K-nine Rose, age 18, of Asheville, NC passed away on December 12, 2025 outdoors in nature in Candler, NC. Joseph was born in Savannah, GA on March 8, 2007 to Benjamin Jay Rose, of Savannah, GA and Letha (Leah) Adamini Rose, of Asheville, NC.
Joseph was affiliated with The Forest Sanctuary, Earth Cathedral, and Bird Song Choir. He was a naturalist, part of the Rainbow Family, enjoyed Herbology, skateboarding, flow arts, public performance art, and climbing trees.
Joseph is preceded in death by his Godfather, Joseph Hodges, his sister, Catherine Rose, and his Pop Pop, James Damico. He is survived by his siblings, Kristan “Rose” Smith Betancourt, of Savannah, GA, Rose “Emily” Ivory, of Savannah, GA, Benjamin James Rose II, of Savannah, GA; his aunts, Rebecca Damico, of Asheville, NC, Wendi Brandao, Jamie Damico, of Shelby, NC, and Diana Rose, of Savannah, GA; his cousin, Kayla Hanson, of Savannah, GA; his uncles, Justin Gravenfield and Bryan Collins; his Godmother and Godfather, Mary Kidd and Mylan Hickman; his brother-in-law, Auston Rose, of Savannah, GA; his friends, Chowie Wowie, of Savannah, GA and Michael Glover, of Boiling Springs, NC; his mom mom, Karen Damico, of Shelby, NC, and his nephew, MJ Betancourt.
A casual friend and family gathering will be held at West Asheville Park Memorial on December 21, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.
