John David Zellers

John David Zellers, 58, of Asheville, NC passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born October 5, 1966 in New York, he was a son of Sharon and David Zellers of Winter Haven, FL. He graduated from Winter Haven High School and received an Associates Degree in Hospitality from Polk Community College. He also attended the University of Central Florida. John was employed at Elevation Lofts Hotel located in downtown Asheville as the General Manager. He enjoyed traveling and some of his favorite locations included Iceland, Alaska, London, Utah, and Greece. He also enjoyed decorating for Christmas, loves dogs, gardening, and Hallmark Christmas movies. Surviving are his spouse, Darrell Herndon of Asheville, NC; parents, Sharon and David Zellers; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Mimi Zellers and nephews Jack, Sam, and Max of Winter Haven, FL.

In lieu of flowers, John requested donations to the Asheville Humane Society, 14 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville, NC 28806.
