Joe Lynn Anderson, 78, of Asheville passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Born March 24, 1945 in Madison County, NC, he was the son of the late Jack and Marion Anderson. He was employed with the Department of Transportation for North Carolina for over 30 years. He was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle in Asheville. Of his many enjoyments in life, some of his favorites were taking a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, traveling, hunting, visiting nursing homes, and having prayer meetings in friends’ homes as he was a true man of faith. Surviving are his daughter, Jessica Rathbone of Asheville, NC; granddaughter, Samantha Rathbone of Asheville, NC; and many nephews and nieces. No formal services will be held.
