Jerry Rodney Lunsford, 49, of Asheville, NC passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville, NC. Born March 4, 1971 in Asheville, he was the son of Theoren Rodney Lunsford of Whittier, NC and Frances Wright Hawkins and her spouse, Johnny, of Old Fort, NC. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. After his time in the U.S. Army, he received a degree in Diesel Mechanics from A-B Technical College and was employed by Estes Trucking until January of 2019 when he had to leave due to his illness. Nothing was more important to him than his family and the church that he was a member, Buckeye Baptist Church in Swannanoa. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted wife of 24 years, Andrea B. Lunsford, and children, Olivia Lunsford and her fiancé, Tyler Galloway, and Cole Lunsford both of Asheville, NC. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic no formal services will be held at this time.
