Jerry Lee LaPlante

Jerry Lee LaPlante, 50, of Alexander, NC, passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Jerry was born December 4, 1970 to the late Leonard Charles LaPlante and Joyce Ann Brooks. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Mark Allen LaPlante. Jerry was a graduate of Carolina College of Hair Design. He was the owner of Hair, Skin & Ink in Asheville, NC. Jerry was a hair designer, artist, craftsman, and eclectic collector. Surviving Jerry is his loving husband of 3 years, Roger Andrew Mann; sister, Janet McClellan (Robert) of Swannanoa, NC; brothers, Larry LaPlante of Spruce Pine, NC, David LaPlante (Tina) of Spruce Pine, NC, Mike LaPlante (Corey) of Swannanoa, NC; aunt, Judy of MI; cousins, Robin Padgett, Leslie O’Connor, and Jerri Lynn Hansel all of MI; countless loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and two great great nephews in all in NC. He was also survived by his many friends including: Angela Chace, Robbie Fullbright, Robin Creson, Ruth Deese, Mari Hinst, Robb Smith, Michael Snyder, Casey Wofford, and Anne Irvine. A celebration of life will be held at 5:00PM on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 237 Haywood St, Asheville, NC 28801.
