James Lee “Jim” Davis, 82, of Weaverville, NC went to his heavenly home April 24, 2024.
James was born on November 15, 1941 in Marshall, NC to the late Charles Cleophas Davis and Mearl Payne Davis. He graduated from Walnut High School in Marshall, NC in 1960. James proudly served our country in the US Army. He later retired as the General Sales Manager for Rainbow Baking Co. James enjoyed landscaping, fox hunting, farming, and spending time with family.
Surviving James is his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Clinton Davis; daughters, Lisa Davis Arrington (Joe) of Unicoi, TN, Kim Davis Foxx (Jamie) of Weaverville, NC, Bridget Davis (Fernando) of Fletcher, NC; sisters, Elsie Davis Payne (Evin) of Marshall, NC, Delsie Davis Roberts (Bruce) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Grayson Hensley (Jaclyn) of Mars Hill, NC, Parker Foxx (Corbin) of Weaverville, NC, Amariah Davis of Fletcher, NC, Sawyer Foxx of Weaverville, NC, Chandler Foxx of Weaverville, NC, and Kenneth Dixon (Kayla) of Charlotte, NC.
The family is thankful for the outpouring of support. A special thank you to Nicole Hensley and the MICU staff at the Charles George VA Medical Center.
