James Allen “Jamey” Wallace, 52, of Asheville, NC passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from a sudden cardiac arrest in his home.
Jamey was born in Greenville, SC to William Brooks Wallace and Kathleen Simonsen Wallace.
Jamey lived in Greenville, SC, Florence, SC and Ocala, FL before eventually moving to the Asheville area. He was employed by Record Town, TransWorld Entertainment, and FYE through the years. Jamey loved music, spending time with his family, writing his pen pal, Stephanie Gardella, playing with his cat, Sing, taking walks with his mother, collecting watches and Addidas attire, and he loved playing backgammon with his dad.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Lillie Potts and her spouse, Tim; Jenny Wallace and her spouse, Franklin Pearce; and nephews, Brooks Wallace and Liam Pearce.
He will be laid to rest in SC, next to his grandparents. His service will be at a later time.
The family would like to thank Riverside Village Homes, River of Hope Behavioral Health Center, RHA Health Services, and Dr. Steward at Family Health for the excellent care that they provided him over the years. The people who cared for him obviously did so with love, and he loved them.
