James Arthur “Jim” Shelton, 70, of Brevard, NC, passed away August 16, 2021 at home under the care of hospice. James was born January 10, 1951 at alion City Hospital in Galion, OH. He is preceded in death by his father, James Andrew Shelton and sister, Joyce “Sandy”. James proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, camping, hiking and was a master griller. Surviving James is his loving wife, Marty Shelton Moore; mother, Maxine Miller Shelton; step daughter, Cindy Rose Allen of Fletcher, NC; son, Glenn Allen of Hendersonville, NC; brother, Jerry Lee Shelton of Mooresboro, NC; sister, Janette Lucille Shelton of Mill Spring, NC; grandson, Brian Rose of Asheville, NC. No memorial service is planned at this time. A special thanks for all their support to Ronny and Jill Fowler, Tim and Greta Armentrout, and all the neighbors and friends who touched our lives through the years.
