Jacob Morgan Manning

Jacob Morgan Manning, 40, of Asheville passed away February 2, 2023 at Mission Hospital with his mother and wife by his side.

Jacob was born February 18, 1982, in Buncombe County. Many hearts broke that evening, but by God’s grace Jacob was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven where he was met by his grandfather, Edwin Morgan “Jack” Burnette; his father, Jerry Bruce “JB” Manning; his sister, Melissa Manning, his uncle, Wayne Eulas Burnette; his Uncle, Richard “Ricky” Jones; his cousin and brother, Christopher Cecil Suttles.

Jacob had many hobbies and interests but loved fiberglass fabrication, music, and his children. Anyone who knew Jacob knew his journey was difficult but he was a warrior. We can take comfort in knowing that he is with his family and savior until we meet again.

Jacob will be remembered as best-friend and husband to, Tiffany Brooke Manning; father to, Jacob Morgan “Bird” Manning Jr. and Morgan Renee Paige Manning; son and best-friend to, Rose Marie Burnette and the late, Jerry Bruce “JB” Manning; brother to, Michael A. Manning, Matthew Manning, late Melissa Manning and his little brother Clint Manning; and nephew to, Lisa and Roger Sinck, Karen Burnette Jones and Richard "Ricky" Jones. Jacob had many cousins whom he thought of like brothers and sisters; Jessie Jones, Ricky Lee Jones, Tonya Jones Grant, Jackie Wayne Suttles, Christopher Cecil Suttles, and Holly Rose Suttles. Jacob has shared many childhood memories that they made together that will last forever. Jacob never met a stranger and loved all with his whole heart. He was a once in a lifetime soul.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, February 9, 2023 in the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services with the family receiving friends an hour prior. Pastor Bob Chuprevich will be officiating.
