Jacob W. Evans, 48, of Rutherfordton passed away on April 15, 2024. He was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Jacob attended Isothermal Community College and obtained a Culinary Arts degree from the Florida Culinary Institute. He loved to read, hike, camp, fish, bicycle, make weapons, and to collect knives. Jacob also really loved animals and bugs. Nature is where he felt most at home. Pisgah National Forest was his second home.
Surviving Jacob is his loving wife, Christina Marie Evans; sister, Stacy Nicholls of Rutherfordton, NC; sister-in-law, Rachel Nicholls and brother-in-law, Joseph Nicholls of Pisgah Forest, NC; brother-in-law Michael Kegley of Loganville, GA, friends, Paul Mathis(friend for 38 years) of West Palm Beach, FL, Benji Beason(friend for 24 years) of Rutherfordton, NC, and James Wilkerson(friend for 24 years) of Gaffney, SC.
A memorial service will be held at Starlight Hills Campground. Will contact with dates and times personally to those who want to attend his memorial. 7466 Bostic Sunshine Highway, Bostic, NC 28018. Christina Evans will be officiating. The family would like to make a special thanks to all who donated for his services. This obituary is based on the people in his life.
