Jackie Lamar Robinson

Jackie Lamar Robinson, 79, of Sylva, NC passed away on September 23, 2024 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

Jackie was born in Jasper, Fl to the late Fitchure Robinson and Mattie Register.

Jackie lived in Jasper, Fl and Salem, AL before taking residence in Sylva, NC for the past 14 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jackie was also an employee at GA DFAC. He was affiliated with the Salem, AL Baptist Church as a Deacon.

Surviving Jackie are his wife, Rita Hayes of 30 years; son, Marko Robinson of Atlanta, GA; cousins, Joyce Tayler and Glen Cherry of Lake City, Florida; special friend and caregiver, Jackie Moody.
