Jack Martin Northcutt, 89, of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Born in Donna, TX, he was the oldest of four children born to the late Otis and Edith Northcutt.
He received his B.S. in nursing in 1953 and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Germany. He later became a certified nurse anesthetist and completed a masters degree in healthcare administration. He served as a healthcare executive for several decades. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church and enjoyed teaching small group Bible studies. Some of his favorite past times included global travel, visiting the North Carolina Arboretum, gardening, reading a good book, cooking, and caring for people. Jack gave to numerous charity organizations and to his church.
In addition to his parents and siblings, he is proceeded in death by his spouse, D. Lois Yvonne (Sharpe). Surviving are his children, Heather Brownlow of Seneca, SC, and David Northcutt of Maitland, FL; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Fletcher Seventh-day Adventist church on April 11, 2021 at 2 PM.
