Jack (Jackie) Nicholson Jr.

Jack (Jackie) Nicholson Jr., age 68, of Asheville, NC, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, at home, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.

A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Jackie was born on July 26, 1957, to the late Jack Nicholson Sr. and Betty Alice Conner Nicholson. A proud graduate of Erwin High School, he dedicated much of his professional life to management at McDonald’s, where his leadership and work ethic were well-known.

Jackie was happiest when he was fishing, cooking, or watching the races and ball games. Most of all, he cherished family vacations and the time spent playing with his loyal pup, Ollie.

He is survived by his life partner of over 30 years, Linda Swann. He is also survived by his sister, Beth Allen (Chet), of Asheville, NC; his brothers, Tommy Nicholson (Kathy), of Chatham, VA, and Jimmy Nicholson (Tanya), of China Grove, NC; his favorite niece Melissa Siefer (Kevin), and his step-son, Patrick Swann (Mariah), of Manteca, CA.

Jackie’s memory will also be treasured by his nephews, Adam Nicholson (Brooke), of Gretna, VA, Michael Nicholson, of Ft. Benning, GA, Sam Nicholson (Rebecca), of Kannapolis, NC; his other nieces, Sarah Steinruck (Pierce), of Chesapeake, VA, Amanda Winburn (Nathan) of Salisbury, NC; and his nieces by choice, Kimberly Hawk and Sally Nestor, of Asheville, NC.
