Monday morning on September 8th, Huey Gene Ramsey went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Huey, also known as Bonzy, or as he would say “Bonzy the painter man” was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and husband. He is survived by his mother Beverly Weems, his sister Dorothy Moniz and husband Kirt and kids; his sister Pam Alvarado; His daughter Jennifer Conner and husband Jon and their son (his grandson) Ian; his son Eddie Ramsey. He is preceded in death by his father Eddie Ramsey; his brother James Ramsey; and his wide Darlene Reece.
Bonzy is also survived by many many cousins and friends, who were pretty much brothers, who will also cherish his memory because he was as loyal as they come.
“Bonzy the painter man” painted houses for a living; he took pride in his work and left masterpieces all over Asheville and many other surrounding areas. When he wasn’t painting houses he was fixing or flipping old project cars.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday the 13th at 6:30pm at Mt Sheba Baptist Church for family and friends.
