Harold A. Runion Jr. of Fletcher, NC left his temporary home on January 27, 2021 to live eternally in the presence of the Lord. He was born February 25, 1951 in Asheville to Mary Rose Hagood and Harold A. Runion Sr. He attended Lee Edwards High School and continued to accomplish an Associates of Business Degree from AB Tech. Harold was a retired printing salesman and an avid musician of 55 years. He loved playing the piano, guitar, and drums. He enjoyed collecting Lionel trains, tinkering with various gadgets, Ham Radio, and home cooked meals. Harold volunteered with Guitars for Vets where he taught veterans how to play guitar at Charles George VA Medical Center, which he truly enjoyed. He is survived in death by his loving and caring wife of 38 years, Rita W. Runion, two sons, Phillip Burns and wife Brandi Vickers Burns of Union Mills, and Christopher Runion of Candler, grandchildren Kelsey Burns and Zack Faulkenbury of Grover, Lilli and Caleb Cope of Forest City, Livvi Vickers of Union Mills and Clayton Burns of Union Mills, a loving brother-in-law, Terry Cash, of Durham and close Friends Bill and Grace Howington of Asheville, Chuck Lingelbach of Asheville, and very very dear friend Morris Flynn of Asheville.
Per Harold’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, Harold requested for everyone to please spend extra time with family in this season. The family would like to thank Four Seasons Hospice, especially Roxy and Elizabeth House of Hendersonville for all their care and support during this time. In true Harold fashion, this has been KI4TVK over and out, seventy-three.
