Gordon "Max" Maxwell Ramsey

Gordon Maxwell “Max” Ramsey, 27, of Weaverville, NC passed away August 13, 2023 in Weaverville, NC.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gordon P. Ramsey.

Max was born July 29, 1996 in Asheville, NC. He graduated from North Buncombe High School in 2014. Max was a member of Weaverville United Methodist Church. He loved watching racing, football, and baseball. Max was a Pittsburgh Steelers Football fan and a Cincinnati Reds baseball fan and was passionate about both. He loved to fish and was a great cook. Max had many friends and touched many lives. He loved his family and friends so much.

Surviving Max is his father, Gordon Bates Ramsey; mother, Katherine “Beth” Ramsey; brother, Jackson Ramsey of Weaverville, NC; grandfather, Floyd Stevens of Weaverville, NC; grandmothers, Phyllis Stevens of Weaverville, NC, Nancy Ramsey of Weaverville, NC; aunts and uncles, Nicole and Dean Middleton of Marshall, NC, Melanie and John Ramsey of Weaverville, NC, Jeff and Robin Ingle of Marshall, NC; cousins, Savannah Talley, Kyle Ramsey, Ketner Ingle, McKenzie Ingle, Parker Ingle, Kelby Rymer, Evan Middleton, Anais Schlosser; and his dog, Merle who he loved so much.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Weaverville United Methodist Church with visitation at 3:00 PM. Rev. Richard Blount will be officiating.
