Gene Wallace Lady Jr.

Gene Wallace Lady Jr. born March 26, 1963 in Kingsport Tennessee to Gene Wallace Lady Sr. and Linda Lady passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 2nd, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. 

Gene was proceeded in death by both of his parents, and his late wife Connie Lady who he had longed to be with again. 

Gene worked most of his life in the restaurant industry as a General Manger to many Shoney’s and other restaurant franchises along the east coast.  He was of the Baptist faith and had longed for the day he would get to meet his savior.  He was an avid Rusty Wallace and huge Tennessee Volunteer fan.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Gene Wallace Lady III, sister Teresa Green and husband Jimmy, brother Wayne Lady, grandson Crew Lady, nephew Stephen Smith, several nieces and nephews, and special girlfriend Emma Renee.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff of the MICU unit at Mission Hospital for their great care of Gene during the last stage of his life.
