Forrest Michael Hicks

Forrest Michael “Mike” Hicks, 69, of Asheville, NC, passed away June 4, 2024.

Mike was welcomed into the loving home of John and Martha Hicks at the age of six weeks old. He was gifted musically and enjoyed playing instruments from a young age starting with the piano. He loved to work on cars and he was a fan of Harley Davidson motorcycles and classic rock music. Mike had many friends and would help anyone in need. Mike was confident in his relationship with God and he enjoyed life. In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, David Hicks.

Surviving Mike is his son, John Michael Hicks; sister, Mary Williamson (Shannon McCure) of Louisville, KY; grandson, Daniel Hicks; niece, Amber Penley of Myrtle Beach, SC; and many cousins and people who called Mike their friend.

A memorial service will be held June 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Western Carolina Rescue Mission, 225 Patton Ave. memorials can be made to Western Carolina Rescue Mission by clicking the “give now” button at westerncarolinarescue.org.
