Ernest “Ernie” James Ward, 78, of Hendersonville passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock due to a long illness. He was employed by the state of North Carolina for most of his life. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. Surviving are his son, four sisters, a brother, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 5 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in the chapel of Jackson Funeral Home in Hendersonville, NC.
