Ernest Kent Collins, 81, of Hendersonville passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville. Ernest was born October 5, 1936 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Thomas and Pauline Collins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Collins. Ernest was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from S&ME Inc. He is survived by his wife, Lucette Collins; son, Douglas Collins; daughter, Terri Collins; brothers; Thomas and Ross Collins; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
