~Erica Ione White~
November 3rd, 1983 – June 27th, 2026
Some people are easy to describe. Erica definitely wasn't one of them.
She was born on November 3, 1983, and left this world on June 27, 2026. Erica leaves behind her favorite puppy and bubbaroni, Bunny, a sister who loves and misses her beyond measure, a father whose heart is forever changed, cousins who will always cherish her memory, and countless friends and family who love her fiercely and will carry her in their hearts for the rest of their lives. Her absence is felt deeply by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
If you met Erica on one of her good days, you met someone who could make you laugh until your stomach hurt. She was kind, compassionate, generous, and the type of person who would give what little she had if she thought someone else needed it more. She loved deeply. She cared deeply. She felt everything deeply.
But life wasn't always gentle with Erica.
She carried burdens that many people never saw or never fully understood. When she struggled, she struggled hard. She blamed herself for things that weren't hers to carry. Shame weighed on her in ways that are difficult to explain. Beneath the strong exterior was a frightened heart that, at times, seemed almost childlike—wanting to be okay, wanting to make things right, wanting to believe she was enough.
The truth is, she always was enough.
Erica wasn't perfect. None of us are. She made mistakes. She had regrets. She fought battles that weren't visible to everyone around her. But she was never defined by her worst days. She was defined by every time she got back up, every laugh she shared, every hug she gave, every act of kindness, every joke, every "I love you," and every piece of herself she offered to the people she loved.
She also carried the pride and resilience of serving in the United States Coast Guard. Strength wasn't something she had to prove. She lived it. Through every challenge life threw at her, she kept getting back up, even when the weight would have broken most people.
Her beloved dogs weren't just pets; they were family, confidants, and constant companions. If heaven has rules, Erica has probably already found every dog there and convinced them they're all coming home with her.
Those who knew her will remember her laugh, her sense of humor, her enormous heart, her stubborn streak, and the way she loved with everything she had. They will remember that beneath every wall she built was someone who simply wanted to be loved and accepted.
Her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fix. We will miss the conversations we didn't get to have, the memories we won't get to make, and the version of life where Erica was still here making us laugh.
We hope that wherever she is now, the burdens she carried have finally been laid down. That the shame she felt has been replaced with peace. That the little girl inside her finally knows she was always worthy of love.
Grief is strange. It doesn't care about schedules or fairness. It leaves empty chairs, unanswered phone calls, and birthdays that will never feel the same. Erica leaves behind a silence that can never truly be filled, but she also leaves a lifetime of stories, laughter, unconditional love, and proof that one person can make an extraordinary difference simply by caring.
So if you're reading this, hug your people. Pet your dogs a little longer. Tell someone you love them. Fight for what matters. Laugh too loudly. Cry when you need to. And when life gets messy, remember Erica—because she never waited for the perfect moment to live. The world is undeniably quieter without her.
Run free, Erica.
We'll take it from here until we meet again
were loved more than you knew, Erica.
You always will be.
