“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 5:24, NKJV
Elisha Chandler Webb, 36, of New Orleans, Louisiana passed from death to life on Saturday, April 27, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, MC and Emogene Smith Webb (Papaw and Nana) and Popejoy and Dorothy Chandler Ballinger (Poppa and Dottie). Elisha, also known as Bob, Robby Bob, Tobias Yoder, and Eli, was born to Dale and Beverly Webb in Visalia, California, on October 22, 1987. The youngest of four boys, Elisha spent his formative years in Tulare, CA, Victorville, CA, Hemet, CA, and West Palm Beach, FL. He was always a wit, gifted with words, and could charm anyone blessed enough to be listening. His passion for music was evident even when he was a little boy and guided much of his life. He was a talented and disciplined guitarist who co-founded the rock bands Covered by Blood, Stained Angel, and First Class Trash, and wrote much of the music they played. Elisha’s badass presentation of himself belied the gentle affection and attentiveness he showed to those he loved. He was a loving grandson, son, boyfriend, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who spent much of his spare time caring for people who were hurting. He had a remarkable work ethic and was willing to help anyone who needed it. Elisha (Babyhead) loved spending time with his girlfriend Kecia (Boo Boo Head), and they especially enjoyed trying new food and restaurants. A true foodie, Elisha loved to cook and was trying to master the perfect omelet.
Elisha is survived by his girlfriend, Lakecia Gilbert, his parents Dale and Beverly Webb, brothers Joshua Webb (Beth), Caleb Webb (Michelle), and Micah Webb, nieces and nephews Nathan, Isaac, Hannah, Ella, Ben, Fiona, Meriel, Alexis, Gregory, Dorothy, and William, and a whole slew of heartbroken aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Elisha radiated sunshine, laughter, and a larger-than-life exuberance when he entered the room, so this loss is overwhelming. He was the ultimate fun uncle, full of ridiculous antics and sweet affection for his nieces and nephews. His countless phone calls to his family and friends (he called his dad and mother almost every day) will be treasured memories until we can continue our delightfully unpredictable conversations.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 18 at 2 pm has been relocated to Calvary Chapel Asheville 5516 Boyleston Hwy Mills River, NC 28759 and there is a potluck meal following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help pay for final expenses.
