Dr. John Clarke Obituary

Dr. John Roger Clarke, 90, of Asheville passed away on October 17, 2023 at the CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville. Born January 2, 1933 in Idalia, CO, he was the son of the late Orville Charles Clarke and Inez Collett. He spent his early years in a small farming community, eventually relocating to Arkansas. While there, he went on to get both his BA and MA at the University of Arkansas. Later, he obtained his PhD from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Clarke returned to Colorado and co-founded Colorado Rehabilitation and Clinical Consultants in Denver working primarily with the developmentally disabled and victims of head trauma. In addition, Dr. Clarke served a stint on the board of the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Retarded Citizens. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Grace Bell Yarbrough and son, Roger Charles Clarke.
