Dorothy Ann "Dd" Wakefield Stines

Dorothy Ann “Dd” Wakefield Stines, 69, of Asheville, NC passed away May 27, 2024 at the CarePartners Solace Center in Asheville, NC.

Dorothy was born in Macon, GA, to the late Joseph Wakefield and Edith Sellers Wakefield. she was a stay at home mom and grand mom. Dorothy passed her love of reading to her children, granddaughters, and great grandson, and loved her family dearly. She was a member of the North Carolina Bluebird Society, and loved her birds and all living things.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Dwaine Stines; daughter, Jennifer Jordan (Chris) of Candler, NC; son, Jason Stines of Asheville, NC; sister, Katheryn Bash of Morton, WA; half-sister, Janie Owens of Lexington, KY; granddaughters, Kimberly Snyder (Colt) of Leicester, NC, Megan Johnson (Brandon) of Candler, NC, Shaleigh Stines of Canlder, NC; and great grandson, Benjamin Johnson of Candler, NC.

Dorothy will be buried at Green Hills Cemetery.
