Donald Ray Adams

Donnie Ray Adams, 61, of Clyde, NC passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Born October 28, 1961 in Cascade County, MT, he was the son of Donald T. Adams and Donna Wilkinson both of Clyde. He was a member of Biltmore Church of Christ. Of his many enjoyments in life helping people, spending time in his vegetable garden, and just being outside with the sun on his shoulders where he felt close to God were among his favorites. Donnie is preceded in death his stepfather, Rex Wilkinson, and brother-in-law, Sonny Higgins. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Gayle Roberta Haley; children, Rebecca Haley and her spouse, Anthony Harden, of Candler, NC, Matthew Ownbey and Mary Kay Rathbone both of Clyde, NC, and Cody Myrick and his spouse, Sandra Myrick, of Colorado; sister, Denise Higgins of Clyde, NC; God-daughter, Evie Mathews. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 12th at Biltmore Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Biltmore Church of Christ Youth Group, 823 Fairview Street, Asheville, NC 28803. After service BBQ provided.
