David C. Yon

David C. Yon, 76, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on  April 4, 2023.
David was the only child of Clemmie Yon and Gladys Epperly Yon, born on January 19, 1947 in Fayetteville, West  Virginia.  His family moved to Ft. Lauderdale when he was nine years old, where he attended Ft. Lauderdale High School and Ft. Lauderdale College. David’s career was in public accounting and law firm administration, working in South Florida for the accounting firm of Hoch, Frey & Zugman for twelve years and  the law firm of Conrad, Scherer for twenty-three years before following his dream to move to the Asheville area, where he was the firm administrator for Roberts and Stevens for over twelve years before retiring in 2018. 
David is survived by his wife, Ellen Rose; son David P. Yon and his wife, Sandra Vaucher of Ft. Lauderdale; daughter Theresa Yon and her husband, Glenn Romano of Greensboro; step daughter, Jessica Libecap and her husband, Justin, and  grandchildren Rylan and Zachary Libecap, of Raleigh; aunt Lita Eskew of Fayetteville, West Virginia as well as several cousins.
A Celebration of Life for David will take place on May 13, 2023 at 2:00pm at The Summit, Burntshirt Vineyards, 2695 Sugarloaf Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be made in David’s memory to Four Seasons Hospice Care, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
