David Lewis Leach

David Lewis Leach, 72, of Leicester passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at his home. Born February 5, 1947 in Fabius, NY, he was the son of the late Ambrose Dewey Leach and Leila May Housted. He was a graduate of Fabius High School and worked as an EMT and firefighter. He was of Methodist faith and enjoyed fishing, history, and the American Civil War reenactments. Surviving is his spouse of 52 years, Margaret Leach; children, Loraine Leach of Burnsville, NC, Wendy Parker and her spouse, Chris, of Old Fort, NC, and James Leach of Maggie Valley, NC; sister, Doris Hensley of Asheville, NC; and grandchildren, Jasmine Leach and David Coggins both of Fairview, NC, and Mary Coggins and Patrick Coggins both of Asheville, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the West Buncombe Fire Department with Rev. Gary Rodgers and Rev. Robert Peurifoy officiating.
