Daniel Beebe Obituary

Daniel Hastings Beebe, 79, of Hendersonville, North Carolina passed away December 12, 2021, at Pardee Hospital following a brief illness. Daniel was born August 20, 1942, in Guilford CT, to the late Albert Lewis Beebe Jr. and Barbara Gertrude Hastings Beebe. Daniel is preceded in death by his former spouse Deanie R. Beebe, in-laws: Joseph and Elizabeth Radford, and Uncle George Beebe. He was married recently to Pattie Medlin Beebe of Hendersonville, where they lived at Brookdale senior living. Dan played baseball and was in the Fife and Drum Corp of Guilford as a young man. He graduated high school from Pascack Valley High School in Hillsdale, New Jersey. He started work as a machinist mate in factories as a teenager. At the age of 20 Dan joined the US Air Force, and was proud of his service. Daniels favorite pastimes included singing, playing guitar, and song writing. He even performed at the Asheville Mountain dance and folk festival through the years 1994-2001 and at the Bascom Lunsford folk festival through the years 1994-2007. Dan moved to the Asheville, NC area in the early 1970’s, following a favorite hobby of his, skiing. This is where he met Deanie Radford, they were married for 39 years. Dan was a retired welder. He was a very involved member of several Baptist churches in the area. Daniel is survived by his daughter Tammy Lusk, son-in-law David Lusk, his granddaughter Rebekah Lusk, grandson Isaac Lusk of Weaverville, North Carolina, his brother William Beebe, wife Carol, of Port Orange Florida, his brother Ross Beebe, wife Andrea, of New Smyrna Beach Florida , sister Jan Wagner of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania , and 6 nieces and nephews.
