Damito JoAnn “DJ” Hurst Huffman, 56, of Alexander, NC, passed away at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

Damito was born June 3, 1968 in Buncombe Co, NC to the late Hilliard Eugene Hurst and Jessie Edwards Hurst. She is also preceded in death her sister, Jaime Tweed.

Surviving Damito is her her husband of 33 years, Bobby Huffman; daughter, Felicia Ann Huffman of Alexander, NC; sister, Darla Biddix (Johnny) of Alexander, NC; nephews, John Biddix of Alexander, NC, Brent Tweed of Fayetteville, NC; nieces, Kimberly Roberts (Trenton) of Leicester, NC, Elizabeth Tweed of Fayetteville, NC, and Stephanie Tweed of Fayetteville, NC.

The family will hold a memorial for close relatives at a later date.
