Craig Wayne Trainham, 61, of Burnsville, NC, passed away on January 2, 2025, after a long battle with chronic liver disease. Born on December 29, 1963, in Syracuse, New York, he later relocated to North Carolina in 1998. Craig had a gypsy spirit, but dearly loved “cuse“! Long before weather apps, Craig could tell you what the weather was going to be and was fascinated by thunderstorms. He shared an artistic gift for drawing like his dad and loved to play his guitar; music was his happy place (especially Pink Floyd). One of the most amazing things about Craig was that no matter what was going on in his life, he could make you laugh with his quick wit and play on words (like sniglets). His sense of humor and gift of laughter will be deeply missed!
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Martha Trainham.
Craig is survived by his four children Craig Trainham ( Laurie ),Bryanna Trainham, Amanda Trainham, Adam Trainham His four siblings Laura Myers ( Clint )Kimberly Thomson (Jack )Jeff Trainham ( Helen )Jacqulyne Beach ( Wayne ) Four Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held in central New York later this year.
