Clyde McKinnly “Mick” Jackson, 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Fletcher, NC on Monday, December 15, 2025.
A native of Asheville, Mick was born February 27, 1948, to the late Dewey M. Jackson and Margaret Geneva Jackson. He was a graduate of T.C. Roberson High School and dedicated his career to his craft as an automotive body repairman until his retirement. Outside of work, Mick was an avid fisherman who found great peace on the water, but his greatest joy was always his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Bethany Jackson.
Mick is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Norma Bartlett Jackson; two sons, Aaron M. Jackson of Tryon, NC, and Scott Jackson of Asheville, NC; his sister, Joan Dorn and her husband, Bobby, of Asheville, NC; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Mick’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Oak Forest Baptist Church, 484 Jackson Rd, Fletcher, NC 28732. Pastors Doug Jones and Alex Cook will officiate.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Luke Thompson, their many friends and family members, and the staff of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services for their compassionate care during this time.
