Christopher Galloway, 64, passed away peacefully at his residence in Asheville, N.C., on February 9, 2026. Born on February 26, 1962, Chris was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud graduate of Enka High School.
Chris was a man of many passions, most notably his love for the great outdoors. An avid outdoorsman and a dedicated animal lover and advocate, he found his greatest peace in nature. Known for his kind heart and open nature, Chris never met a stranger; he was truly a friend to everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Constance M. Lowe-Wilde Galloway (who passed Oct. 4, 2018), his father, Clarence Robert Galloway, as well as his niece, Stacy Day, and brother-in-law, Bill Frances.
Chris is survived by brother, Bob Galloway of Fairview, N.C., and his sister, Jennifer Francis of Harpster, Ohio. He also leaves behind a loving extended family, including his nephew Tony Frances (Marsha) of Florida; his niece Becky Heil of Harpster, Ohio; and multiple nieces and great-nieces in Ohio who will cherish his memory.
