It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Sean Drye, age 43, of Asheville, NC. He was born on July 16, 1982 to Troy Keith (deceased) and Julia Ann.
To know Christopher was to know a man with a heart of gold, and a smile that could light up a room. He never met a stranger and he was a friend to all. He had a brilliant mind, and an infectious laugh, making you laugh along with him. He had a deep love for the 49ers, cooking, drawing, and his beloved dog Jazzlyn. Beneath all this was a sensitive soul who fought fiercely against the demons of addiction and mental health.
We take comfort in knowing that Christopher is finally at peace, free from pain and torment as he is resting in the arms of Jesus.
Christopher leaves behind a legacy of love. He was a devoted son, brother, and uncle who adored his family. He is survived by his mother, Ann Nail, siblings, Jeremy Drye, Suzanne King (Jeremy), Hannah Drye (fiancée Zach Gosnell), several nieces and nephews, Laci King (fiancée Caleb Brown), Sean King, Andrew King, Skylar Drye, Adison Sherlin and Mckenna Sherlin. He will be missed beyond words by all who had the privilege of truly knowing him.
A celebration of life and service will be held at Lake Julian Park, shelter #3 in Arden. Sunday, June 21 at 2pm. All who loved Christopher are welcome to attend so come as you are and celebrate the beautiful person he was.
The family appreciates the love, support, ad prayers during this difficult time.
