Carolyn "Suzanne" (Burgess) Ramsey

Carolyn “Suzanne” Ramsey Burgess, 72, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Suzanne was born in Asheville, NC to her parents, Dewey Martin Ramsey Sr. and the late Julia Carolyn Fisher Clontz. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Burgess, and ex-husband, Curtis Greene. Suzanne spent years working in healthcare. She was a member of Victory Fellowship and North Buncombe First Church of God. She loved animals and helping with the church food pantry. Suzanne is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Lucinda Greene Mackiewicz of Winter Springs, FL, Tammy Noelle Hagan of Weaverville, NC; son, William “Matthew” Greene of Orlando, FL; step-daughter Margaret “Annette” Singleton, with husband Charlie, sister, Emily Rebecca Gibson of Weaverville, NC; brother, Dewey “Martin” Ramsey Jr., and wife, Hope, of Weaverville, NC, grandchildren, Ivy Marlynda Greene, Mattlyn Alexandra Greene, Mark “Adam” Teed, Bradley Michael Caligiuri and wife, Alexandria, Allison Nicole Kimbrough and husband, Jordan, Eric Wayne Singleton, and wife Shauna; great grandchildren, Luna Star Pinero-Garcia, Cole Michael Caligiuri, Bentley James Caligiuri, and Aiden Rae Singleton. A memorial service was held on July 4, 2020 with Pastor Eric Young, Pastor Sonia Burleson and Dewey “Martin” Ramsey officiating.
