Camilla JoAnn Sluder Dunbar

Camilla JoAnn Sluder Dunbar, 86, of Pisgah Forest, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born July 30, 1939 in Bullsgap, TN, she was the daughter of the late Delbert and Lucille Sluder. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Clarence Belrose; sons, Andre Belrose and Michael Carpenter; uncles, Joe Sluder and Buford Dean; grandparents John and Mae Dean; and grandson, Johnny Carpenter. Surviving are her second spouse, David Lee Dunbar; children, Kathy Weatherly and her spouse, Darrell, of Mt. Carmel, TN, Johnny Carpenter and Dorothy Gibson, of Church Hill, TN, and Jacqueline (Jackie) Abshire and her spouse, John, of Hendersonville, NC; and grandchildren, Amanda Suttles and her spouse, David, of Arden, NC, Rebecca Weatherly of Kingsport, TN, Justin Brown of North Carolina, Amber Johnson and her spouse, David, of Burlington, NC, Joseph Weatherly of Seattle, WA, Stacey Grissett and her spouse, Tyrone, of Fairmont, NC, Wesley Carpenter and Allison Carpenter both of Church Hill, TN, and Ella Carpenter of Rogersville, TN. A memorial service will be held on March 21, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Liberty Baptist Church, Edneyville.
