Brittany Melinda James

Brittany Melinda James, 38, of Waynesville, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at her home with her family by her side. Born January 4, 1988 in Asheville, NC, she was a daughter of Brenda Jordan of Candler, NC and the late Gene Jordan. Brittany enjoyed drawing and coloring and was a talented make-up artist. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Billy and Mary Ogle and Naomi Jordan. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her significant other of 17 years, Greg Roberts; children, Bentley age 12 and Iszak age 10 both of Waynesville, NC; siblings, Dawn Jackson (Brandon) of Clyde, NC, Gina Jordan (Adam) of Fairview, NC, Michael Boyd (Mary) and Marvin Jordan (Jamie) all of Hot Springs, NC, Jeremy Jordan (Karen) of Fairview, NC, and Tyler Jordan of Marion, NC; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 9 Chapel Hill Road, Asheville, NC 28803. The family would like to thank the staff of Four Seasons Hospice and especially Jamie McCoy for the wonderful care that they provided Brittany.
