Brenda Yvonne Cook Parker, 73, passed away on June 1, 2026, at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
A native of Greeneville, TN, and former resident of Belva, NC, Brenda had called Alexander, NC her home for the past 33 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, General Grant Cook and Sadie Juanita Cook.
Brenda graduated from Laurel School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts from Mars Hill College. She spent her career working for the Metropolitan Sewage District (MSD). A woman of deep faith, she was a dedicated member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Brenda lived a vibrant life filled with many passions. She loved crocheting, gardening, bowling, and exploring the great outdoors. She was also a passionate supporter of the Shriners Hospital for Children and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
She is survived by her devoted partner of 33 years, Robert Triplett; her daughter, Michelle Parker of Whittier, NC; and her brothers, Jerry Cook and Terry Cook, both of Laurel, NC. She also leaves behind her cherished grandson, Derrick Holt (and Suzanne Walter) of Marshall, NC, and her granddaughter, Shelby Maney of Cherokee, NC.
A private family service was held in Asheville, NC, on June 4, 2026.
