Brenda Mae Gibson Shelton

Brenda Mae Gibson Shelton, 74, of Weaverville, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Born May 27, 1950 in Buncombe County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Gibson and Rosa Davis Gibson. She enjoyed taking care of others, and worked for years as a CNA. She loved her family and her Chihuahuas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Smith; brothers, Gary and Larry Gibson; and nephew, David Smith. Surviving are her sons, Eric Willis of Candler, NC, and Dean Willis of Florida; sisters, Joan McKinney of McDowell County, NC, and Carolyn Marvulli of Leicester, NC; granddaughter, Kristen Willis of Asheville, NC; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time.
