Bobby King, 87, of Candler was welcomed home by his heavenly Father on Monday, June 28, 2021.
Son of the late Ernest Cleveland King and Cora Mae Miller King, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna; second wife Brenda; son, Charlie; and nine siblings: Jerry, Bud, Jim, Fred, Bill, June, Betty, Barbara, and Virginia.
Bobby is survived by six children: Ronald, Sandra, Nathan, Gail, Tim, and Rachel; 2 grandchildren, Anthoni, and Geneva; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
His work included Tobacco Factory, retiring from Sales Bleachery, and later retiring from Ingles Grocery where he received an award for 10 years of service with no absences nor tardiness.
He was a strong man of faith, a prayer and praise warrior. He was a faithful member and supporter of his church, Asheville First Church of the Nazarene, for over 50 years, and loved his pastors as dear friends.
Visitation will be at 1pm on Tuesday, July 6, at the Nazarene church with a service to follow at 2pm. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 10am, July 7 at Green Hills Cemetery. Pastor Andrew Crimmins will officiate.
