Betty Faye Heatherly

Betty Faye Silver Heatherly, 60, of Asheville passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.  Born November 9, 1960 in Asheville, she was a daughter of Lois Silver of Asheville and the late Foy Dee Silver.  She worked for several years cleaning and organizing homes while making life long friends along the way.  She was devout in her Christian Faith and never knew a stranger.  Of her many enjoyments in life helping Habitat for Humanity construct houses, working in her flower garden, and quilting baby blankets for friends and family were among her favorites.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Daniel K. Leach and his spouse, Nia, of Spartanburg, SC, and Tiffany D. Leach of Asheville; siblings: Teresa Silver Boggs of Asheville, Ronnie Silver and his spouse, Mollie, of Marshall, and Chris Silver of Arden; grandchildren: Tracie Fultz, Carmen Ledford, and Janix Leach; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  A celebration of her life will be held at Pine Burr Park Baptist Church, 389 Weaverville Road, Asheville, NC 28804, on May 1st at 2:00 PM.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.ashevilleareaalternative.com.
