Audrey L. Magner, 84, of Asheville passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2020 at the Brian Center in Weaverville. Born January 22, 1936 in Westbrook, ME, she was a daughter of the late Chester H. Sloat and Adelaide T. Sloat. She was an alumnus of the University of Delaware class of 1976 where she received her B.S.R.N. and graduated Magna Cum Lauda. In 2005, she retired from Trailblazers Healthcare in Baltimore, MD after ten years of service. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Hendersonville where she served as the church librarian and completed their Graduate of Disciples Program. Mrs. Magner had a knack for beadwork and was a member of Mensa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert Magner, and sister, Penny Nicoll. Surviving are her children; David V. Jaquette of Winchester, VA, Cynthia L. Boulden of Newark, DE, Lawrence A. Jaquette of Durham, NC, and Christopher A. Jaquette and his spouse, Simon, of Asheville, NC; and grandchildren, David H. Boulden V and Lawrence Boulden. An internment service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church at a later date.
