Ann Keesler Obituary

Ann Marie (Miller) Keesler, 61, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Mission Hospital, Asheville, North Carolina after battling cancer.  She was born on March 15, 1959 in Wooster, Ohio; daughter of Edward R. and Mary Miller of Millersburg.

Ann was a 1977 graduate of West Holmes high school, Millersburg.  After high school she attended Word of Life Bible college at Schroon Lake, New York.  She made her home for many years in West Palm Beach, Florida where she had made many close friends. Eventually she moved to Hendersonville, where she lived the remainder of her life.  She loved the beautiful scenery and solitude she found in that area.

Ann was a licensed massage therapist. She was also Reiki master/teacher and incorporated that into her massage business as a form of energy healing.  Ann became ordained in March 2010 through the Alliance of Divine Love spiritual ministry.  She was a talented spiritual counselor and also had the gift of music; playing guitar and singing.

Ann was drawn to the Native American culture.  She orchestrated classes for native drumming and making drums, and she was part of various drumming circles.  She was a Pipe Carrier through the Panther Lodge Bear Tribe. Ann also had a heart full of love for animals, big and small, especially horses and wolves.

Ann strived to continually learn.  Recently Ann had attended Blue Ridge College, right up through 2019.  She was one credit away from getting her associates degree in business.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are siblings Robin (Ken) Allison, Wendell (Julie) Miller, Sheila (Bob) Turner, and Tammy (Mike) Judson; several nieces and nephews, her best friend, Karen MacDonald; and her pets that meant so very much to her : dogs, Tootsie and Mikey; and donkey’s, Alaska and Jack Frost.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her special horse, Goldie.

A private family service is being held in August. And a celebration of life will be planned at a later time for her friends in the Hendersonville area.
