Andrew Karpay, 73, of Asheville, NC, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the Emberlight Center for Conscious Living & Dying in Swannanoa, NC.

His kindness and passion for life touched the hearts of many people. Andy was a lifelong musician. A talented mandolin player, he found great joy in the strings and stories of the music he loved. This passion brought many people together. Above all, he cared deeply for those around him. His memory is a blessing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Joanne Blake Kocher Karpay; his sons, Tim Ogden of Tampa, FL, and Michael Karpay of Winter Park, FL; and his stepson, Sterling Stees of Tampa, FL.
