Amanda McDevitt Ogle, 71, of Asheville, NC passed away on March 18, 2026. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Amanda was born August 14, 1954 in Madison County, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Everette Junior Bailey; her mother, Eva Lee Crowder; her grandmother, Lottie Bailey; and her grandfather, Fred Bailey.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Jim Ogle; daughter, Leah Ann Dugger (Chuck); step-daughter, Tara; and step-son, Brian. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Amanda is further survived by her brothers: Richard Bailey (Kathy), Johnny Bailey (Ann), and Chris Bailey (Ava); and her sisters: Sandra Euler, Shelia Bailey (Mark), and Debbie Bailey. Her memory will also be honored by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Scottie Cole. Special music will be provided by Richard, Kathy, and Ann, as well as a duet by Linda and Ann. A graveside burial will follow at the family cemetery at Smith Creek, located off Puncheon Fork Road.
